topic The Vale of Glencoe
I've completed a first pass of the script for "The Vale of Glencoe". I'd like to give it one more pass, and then post it for comments. There are quite a few places where I could use some help. What's the best way to go about this? Post a text file somewhere so people can download it? Post it here in the forum? If so, what, 5 minutes per post To make it easy for others to offer suggestions/corrections? Sorry if this information is already here, but I can't fin...

topic The Lost Place
Here's something I pieced together from GoogleBooks, the frustrating search engine that sometimes provides only part of the text from a book or journal, either a "limited preview" (of pages) or a "snippet view" (of sentences). It's a children's play from a 1954 issue (I couldn't figure out the exact publication date) of Grade Teacher magazine. I had to make an occasional educated guess about word order. Missing parts of the text that I was unable to retrieve are i...

topic Extant Original Scripts??
Greetings, all! New member---and new Quiet, Please fan---here. I'm quite curious: how many of Wyllis Cooper's original scripts survive---and where are they housed? A volume of collected QP scripts was scheduled to appear in 1950, but apparently never made it to press. (See: www.geocities.com/emruf6/00.html). I don't suppose there's a manuscript or galley proof of this floating about somewhere? It would be terribly nice should someone finally bring such a book to fruition ....

topic Brazil
Published as "Brazil: A Radio Drama" in a textbook in 1943, here's a rare instance of a Wyllis Cooper script in print. The text is described as a "cut version" -- a "somewhat shortened" version of the script "that the actors used in the studio," which probably explains why the names of the actors are sometimes included in parentheses. I haven't altered the text except to put the non-dialogue cues in caps. For clarity, I also added the word "SOUND:"...
