I am Samuel Woodworth's great grandson. Is there any info or pictures or anything that anyone may have that I could get copies of. It would help the family out quite a bit. Thank you |

I'm afraid I don't have any more info on Woodworth. All I have is this not very good image of him from the November 19, 1926 Syracuse Herald: http://img62.imageshack.us/img62/9...19syracusepoststandfy6.jpg The caption read: Samuel Woodworth is the father of WFBL. It was three years ago when "Sam" first hit upon the idea that Syracuse ought to have a first class broadcasting station, and he at once enlisted the aid or members of the Radio Dealers Association here in developing his plans. |
