My assumption would be that the archive of "Radio Mirror" magazines could be a good resource of time slots and weekday of what was airing - because their monthly tv-guide like schedule grids looked to be a detailed and accurate resource.. But evidently not so much..

As you can see some time/day scheduling doesn't jive very well with what is known, and of particular note; Quiet Please switched to ABC in September 1948 , but Radio Mirror indicates the change in February 1949, also they continued to show it in the schedule for two months after it went off the air.

In case it's of any interest to anyone, here's another compilation taken from the 1947-49 'Broadcasting - Newsweekly of Radio and Television' magazines scheduled radio grids..
Although they published 4 or 5 issues a month, some months for some reason did not provide any schedules at all, but at least the following appears more accurate in relation to other sources, than what "Radio Mirror" provided..

Broadcasting Magazine - from their monthly schedule grids
Year issue date

-----1947-------
Jun. No schedule grid published for June
JUL. No schedule grid published for July
Aug. No schedule grid published for August
Sep. Sunday 10:00PM MBS (sept 8 issue)
Oct. Wednesday 8:30 PM MBS (oct 6)
Nov. Wednesday 8:30 PM MBS (nov 3)
Dec. Wednesday 8:30 PM MBS (dec 8)

-----1948-------
Jan. Wednesday 8:30 PM MBS (jan 5)
Feb. Wdnesday 8:30 PM MBS (feb 2)
Mar. Monday 9:30 PM MBS (March 1)
Apr. Monday 9:30 PM MBS (April 5)
MAY Monday 9:30 PM MBS (May 3)
Jun. No schedule grid published for June
JUL. Monday 9:30 PM MBS (July 5)
Aug. Monday 9:30 PM MBS (Aug 2)
Sep. Monday 9:30 PM MBS (Sept 6)
Oct. Sunday 5:00 PM ABC (oct 4)
Nov. No schedule grid published for November
Dec. Sunday 5:00 PM ABC (Dec 6)

-----1949-------
Jan. Sunday 5:30 PM ABC
Feb. Sunday 5:30 PM ABC
Mar. Sunday 5:30 PM ABC
Apr. Sunday 5:30 PM ABC (*page is torn, can only see 1/2 a "Q" or an "O")
MAY. Sunday 5:30 PM ABC
Jun. Saturday 9:00 PM ABC
JUL. No schedule grid published for July
Aug. Quiet Please not listed.
.
...

Ah, I forgot to mention..
In a previous post I commened that the shows runtimes appeared to fall into groups..
.
June 47, thru October 8, 1947 - Avg. runtime: 29:30
October 1947 thru January 1948 - Avg. runtime: 24:30
February 1948 thru June 1948 - Avg. runtime: 29:30
July 1 to September 13, 1948 - Avg. runtime: 24:30
September 19 thru June 1949 - Avg. runtime: 29:30
.
To which MS in response pointed out..

"I believe the five-minute-long show that filled out the half hour during the Mutual run from October '47 to January '48 was called "Billy Rose Pitching Horseshoes," a radio version of a syndicated column by New York show-biz figure Billy Rose. The July-September '48 run featured five minutes of news."
.
While I have not as of yet found any scheduling from Oct 47 to confirm "Billy Rose.." But in the available listing for the July-Sept run do show Quiet Please at 9 on mondays is followed by an astric (*) in the following section which indicates in the schedule key for MBS:
9:55-10 PM Monday through Friday Johns-Manville Sponsor Bill Henry, news.

One example shown in here the August 2 1948 edition: www.americanradiohistory.co.../BC-1948/1948-08-02-BC.pdf

.
Correction...
The Jan 5 1948 edition of Broadcast (and others) does indeed also confirm the 5 minute program of Billy Rose was used to fill the remaining time after Quiet Please 24:30 minute long programs during that run:

8:55-9 pm Mon.-Fri. Semier sponsors Billy Rose Show.
