There's nothing worse than a shadow... except a lack of a shadow. Just can't win, can you?
Strangely, I don't even like the rest of the episode that much (though it's ok) but I love the ending. The last minute or so just seems perfect... the way it captures the calm sort of horror.
A very, very strange tale, and yes the ending the last 4 or 5 minutes, the tension between the Angel, the little girl, and the mother are intense.
A very interesting tale tho, except for the very last minute, a slight reminder of the Gladys Cooper/Robert Redford episode of the 'Twilight Zone' called 'Nothing In The Dark'. Death seems to be a friendly, yet weary angel of darkness in the 'Shadow Of The Wings' compared to Redford's 'friendly, understanding version of Mr. Death.
By far a good episode, except for the end...
