Revamp.net said they were shutting down on 12/31 or shortly after, but it seems they shut down early, because I can't get to the old discussion forum. So unfortunately it looks like all the old posts (not that there were too many) are lost. sad

Many thanks to yupapa.com for hosting this site free without ads. Also thanks to Host.sk, which is what I'm using to store media files, at least for now -- the downloads are slow, I know, but there aren't many places willing to host large files that eat up about 7 gigabytes of bandwidth per month like the files here do.

Anyhow, welcome to the new forum. It's really a little more complicated that is needed for a small site like this, but it's free and it gets the job done. Please register yourself a username, and feel free to post your thoughts. smiling face

Excellent! Nice one, and glad to see you've found a new home. Let's hope you get settled in and we can all come round and play. :-)

looking good so far... I'm just off to explore a bit!

Still looking for a faster download host... but on the plus side, I may be able to build up more of an archive. Should have more space to work with when I'm spreading out the files over different hosts. 'Course, that leaves me with the whole problem of how to reorganize the site if there were a bunch of episodes always available... but that's not a problem I'd mind having. wink

I think I've got everything updated here now, all the links should work everywhere.

I'm new here but just wanted to say thanks for the site and the shows. I've been listening to OTR for about 5 years and known about QP for probably 2. Always liked the writing and acting. I'm downloading "The Time of the Big Snow" right now. After I listen, I'll say something in the topic you started about it. Thanks again for the shows and this discussion board looks interesting as well...

Hi brujo, welcome to the forum. smiling face

I sort of, slightly knew about Quiet Please about 10 years ago... I heard one episode of it on "When Radio Was". It didn't even make much of an impression, beyond recalling the name of the series. It wasn't until I'd had internet access for a while (maybe 2 ½ - 3 years ago) that I came across Quiet Please again and started to appreciate it.

It's interesting how it seems like some of the best series take the longest to stumble onto.

I am new to your site, but I am very glad I found it. When I was younger I had some OTR on cassetees but wandered from the hobby. Then about a year ago I found Sci-Fi.com's Seeing Ear Theater, which re-sparked my interest. Now I can't get enough of these old shows (I now listen to these more than I watch tv). Thanks for taking the time to put this site together.

I remember when I used to go to Seeing Ear Theater every week, both for their new dramas and for the classics. Too bad it seems to have died (still there, but nothing new in many months), that was a great site.
